Howdy Bill, Welcome to FRISCrg. I hope you enjoy the photographs, discussions, and camaraderie on the forum. Regards, Mike Corley
I worked all over the west. Denver, Portland, Gillette, St Louis, KC and many more I was 30 yrs with SLSF through BNSF. Mainly Roadmaster and Trainmaster
Welcome aboard, Bill. You live in a fair region of the Sunshine State. We can't get anywhere near Cocoa Beach without my space and rocket-obsessed son wanting to visit KSC. Best Regards,
Bill, Welcome to the group. I am interested in building a shelf, switching type layout based the the FEC. I have the shelf built and GP40-2s #411 and #403 ready for service. I need to know what you might consider to be an interesting switching area on the FEC in the mid 1970s. A local friend has suggested Jacksonville because of the interchange with the SCL but I don't have any more information than that. If you can assist, please contact me at kansas96@yahoo.com and we can keep the conversation on this website more Frisco focused. Thanks.
Right next to the NASA line? I don't know what is there exactly and I don't know what traffic went to NASA in the 1970s. Might be fun to mix two of my hobbies, space exploration and railroading. Is there some industrial switching in Titusville that might have been around in the 70s? This could be good. Any info you have will be appreciated.
