Yes, travel, dosen't seem very important after you have moved with the railroad 9 times. I really liked it, but am glad it's over. Jul 1, 2019

I understand. We came back to Oregon after my wife had leukemia. As the years go by, the decisions get more complicated. You want to be on familiar ground.

I used to see a few Frisco cars here on occasion. My grandfather, great grandfather and two great uncles worked for the Frisco in the 20's as station agents. What drew you back to Springfield from Vancouver?

Well actually I was transferred to KC as Roadmaster. I had a buddy with Florida East Coast, so I went to Titusville Fl and retired. It was too Hot in Florida my wife has MS, so we moved back to family, Springfield, Mo.

Bill, I received a notice that my reply over the weekend did not reach you.
I think I am now logged in? If so, can you resend anything I need to respond to.
      Thanks, Joe

William, I am unable to find the Profile tab you described in your last message.
I did gain access to a photo of a White House with a white car parked at
An angle near a junction of email road tracks. I also gained access to a layout
& photos of what appears to be a miniature train operation. Am I getting close?

My grandfather's father followed the railroad construction out of St Louis, hauling supplies, and cutting grade with a team of mules, settleing in Monett, Mo. Sometime in the 20's my Grandfather and his two brothers hired on the Frisco, he was a Boilermaker, the other brothers were Brakemen. One fell down between two cars and died from injuries. The other brother fell into the pit and broke his back. Grandfather retiered in 1967. In 1970, grandfather took me to the main office and got me hired on the Tie Gang, for Frisco which began a 40 year career with the railroad. The railroad is a good career, with good benefits for anyone who chooses to follow the bumps.
