      Hey Reek:

I don't know if you have switched era's back to 1950's, but want to acknowledge I still have three
of your earlier era Frisco boxcars. I keep wanting to have an op session on my West Bottoms, but there seems to always be "one more thing" I want to get done. I spent two months trying to get the Cabosse ground throw mounted on the facia-see my post on this. Also have signals installed at two crossings.

Hello, I am trying to get in touch with renapper about a 1946 KCT map showing freight houses in the West Bottoms. I tried to send a private message to him but was unable to send it. I believe it said he could not accept private messages. Could you help me get in touch with him?

Its getting close to Spring and the Operating Fever is starting to warm up. I understand you have been busy woking on the Layout during these last few months. Curious to see the progress in person. Thanks for your time and patience and like I said before, I totaly understand if you are busy that weekend. Tell Jo I said hi. Talk at you later.

Rick, thanks for letting me know what you found out. I was just surfing and found that particular stretch was a branch line that ran from Owensville to Saint Louis. I remember seeing a frisco consist on that stretch when I was little and thinking how nice the engines looked. In Illinois where I grew up I only saw bn green. Yuck!!

Hey Rick- I bought one of the Grandview depot kits today from Charlie. Bill White said that you used that kit and made a Lenexa depot. Can you tell me a few things that you had to do? Also how did you paint the depot what colors did you use?

      Hey Reek:

My wife announced last year she wasn't getting me anything for Christmas. By God she lived up to it as I watched my daughters open up enough packages to clothe the orphans of China. She announced the same thing this year, and being prepared I've decided to buy my own Christmas presents.

It's DCC time. The West Bottoms is modest, at most three throttles at once and for quite a while it could be one. What do you have, what do your recommend and where should I buy it, I assume not Doc's.

Also, I have an MR article I've kept recommending code 22 for the drops, and code 14 for the buss. Is that what you use on the buss? If so, where did you find it. Can't find anything that stout at Radio Shack.

You and Jo have a Merry Christmas.

      Rick,

I just wanted to take this time and wish you and Jo a Happy Thanksgiving. Myself, I am headed to Atlanta, Ga. for the Holiday with my brother's family. Looking forward to seeing you on the 19th. By the way, how are you doing on the Ceiling Tile and Plywood project? Have enough materials to go around? If not let me know. Thanks again for everything. Talk at you later.

      Hey Rick:

Well don't think I've wandered off the reservation, although maybe I have. I am ready to build, but I just can't get there on West Bottoms theme. I just don't want to build all those **** buildings and street trackage is a challenge I'm not sure I want. But...............

I have another idea that is starting to really come together. Do you know anyone in town who is a MOP ophile. Topeka branch, rather obvious given I lived there 20+ years, it just seemed like 40. Ran GP 15's (coming in May) and MP15's (coming in December). Interechange three railroads and had about 4-5 customers I know about. Five track yard. This could work. Trying to locate track charts.

      Hope all is well.

      Boomer
