Hello! I read in a forum post that your layout is set 1800's to 1925 or so. I am in the planning stages of my next layout which will be a similar era, so I hoped to strike up and acquaintance. My name is Ian, and I'm designing a roughly 8'x16' N scale freelance layout based primarily on the logging and apple industries "somewhere in the Ozarks.

I just wanted to say hello based on our shared interest in era.

Good luck in your endeavor. It’s a fun era to model and a bit challenging at times.

      Jim,

NO problemo! I hope you subscribe to Model Railroad Hobbyist. It's FREE! I've been a receiver for over 2 years and it has more valuable information in it than the 20 years of Model Railroader from Kalmbach that I've subscribed to. I dropped MR because of MRH. Don't delay. Sign up for it. You won't regret it!

Thanks my friend for so much support in my pickle thread. I appreciate it. I'm packing up your trucks and what-not's. They'll go out on Monday. Thanks again. Check out the sack load I stacked on the pallets. I posted up a pic.

Hahahaha. I know. I laughed. I added some animated posts to it. Hope you know I'm just ribbing. Yes, bench work will be around the 1st for the first section. Switches are on order with my builder. I need to order my track laying gear from Fast Tracks. Plus much, much, more. Soon I will have a proposition for you that will cost you nothing, but will help me tremendously, and you will profit too. It's all Frisco related, and right up your Zalma Branch's alley. Till then, hush, hush.

Good to hear it! Bench work is one of my least favorite aspects of this hobby. I can't wait to see your progress in photos. It sounds like your layout is well thought out with high standards set. That's the way to do it, man. I've rushed through this 4x8 so fast to try out scenery techniques that it'll be finished soon and then what? I'm getting the itch to do a different layout but I have too many ideas in my head. Anyhoos, good luck and when I get time I'll get some more"ballast" for you.
      Full speed ahead!

      Hey Jim,

How are you? Great layout. I'm enjoying it. Track supplies being ordered right now, along with bench work materials. Next month I should be rolling.

      Hey Jim,

Just waiting on funds to arrive early January so I can order the benchwork. Same with ordering tools, track laying equipment, etc. I have to start from "scratch". Keep up the good work on your project. You are such an inspiration!
