Certainly plenty of good opportunities here for the N-Scale Frisco modeler, especially for those modeling the River Division. The Frisco had an interchange with the M&I on the St. Louis Subdivision just north of Ste. Genevieve, where the M&I had a car ferry operation at least into the early 1950s. Frisco Power has a nice photo of 2-8-0 #1330 with a northbound freight, crossing the M&I diamond. One can barely make out some of the pilings for the car ferry. There used to be a neat model of this steam-powered boat at the Ste. Genevieve museum downtown. Best Regards,
I saw that diorama! Very cool. I'm still waiting for my M&I N scale car. I've got some weathering plans for it
Thanks, Charlie. This will be my first N scale weathering project. Ought to be a hoot. I bet you're going batty getting all those cars shipped!
Great model! Thanks Charlie and Micro Trains! Maybe a Frisco version of this could happen someday soon? On the back cover of Rails Around Missouri there appears to be a close Frisco version of this model ahead of the caboose. Thanks again! Pete
If there are buyers, we could keep a Frisco special run going all the time. I am ready to go on a Frisco special run any time. We just need 300 people to commit to buy.
Just so y'all know, I am coming out with several Frisco cars in the fall. Furniture, Box, and the Frisco Refrigerator Line. Oh boy, now the cat is out of the bag. Special surprises for the KC guys as well.
Are these to be turn of the century? Are you talking about PS-1 boxcars? It would be helpful if we knew what are you talking about and not playing guessing games? Tony L.
1880-1917. No cars put into production after 1917, however, many of the cars being produced can be carried over up into the 60's. There is just too much 1940-today out there to compete with. Decals though, will be offered, shortly after initial launch.
