Keith, I recall you talking about making a Frisco GP35 out a Bachmann unit, well I found a B&Y torpedo boat http://cgi.ebay.com/BACHMANN-FRISCO...ewItem&pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c132ec187

Also, this next one this past week I had been thinking about someting similar to this (Frisco escaping BN and going on into the 80's and buying O&W SD50's or 60's). Well I came across this. http://cgi.ebay.com/LIFE-LIKE-P2K-F...ewItem&pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c132ecd75

There is also another item from this seller, a GE 8-40b in B&Y. I notice the location is Daphne, would this happen to be our own HWB?

One more thing, I see a HO scale brass Fire Fly 4-6-2, painted! Only $500

Any way I thought I would share this.

Looks like that "torpedo boat" GP35 will be heading to Muskogee.....:D:D

This is the first I have seen of the Bachman (Turner Overdrive) GP35s. Looks good. If you wanted to give it another Frisco detail or two, you could add the piping on the rear of each air tank and enlarge the fuel tank. The piping can be brass wire easily shaped by hand with some needle nose pliers. The fuel tank could be enlarged with some structural styrene and sanded smooth. Black is one of the easier colors to match so brush painting the new piping and airbrushing the fuel tank wouldn't interfere with the paint job already in place. I think these units also had the DA rotary beacon, another easy add on detail.

I did notice the fuel tank- that's definitely something I'll fix.

I have in my photo collection a pic of the piping for the air tanks- I'll refer to it when I detail the air tanks.

Can't remember if the air horns were correct, but if not, I have some DW Leslie air horns in stock, so I can replace it.

After aall that, a little light weathering and it's good to go. It'll also give me 4 GP35s in my HO fleet, and allow for the retirement of my Athearn blue-box GP35 (with the overwide hood).

I have some drawings of the top tank air piping on the Frisco GP35's if you want the details.

Ken- that may be useeful, as I am in the midst of moving, remodeling, and working, and I have no foggy idea what I've done with the darn picture, If you could email it to me, that would be great.

The roof air tanks, piping and the larger fuel tanks really make these units unique and soooooooo "Frisco."

Yep it just keeps getting better for us Frisco fans/modelers. Sometimes I have to pinch myself . . .

After zooming in on the rooftop, I could figure out the plumbing between the tanks and along either side of the radiator fans. How far down does the piping go from the top of the long hood?
