Okay, I give in. Here's the face behind the S.A.&A.P., S.A.F&N, Frisco maniac! Don't sue me for eye damage.
Now you see why my Avatar is a Scottish Pipe Band! But I have lost 50 LBS. since this was taken- 6 days after my heart attack! Ya can no keep a Highlander down!

I had never noticed this thread before. Steve Hurt aka modeltruckshop: Tall, attractive with a jumpshot like Michael Jordan and a voice like Ronnie James Dio. OK really I am short fat and bald like most model builders!
Dont know how I missed this thread for so long. Here I am in a GP38-2, Cant remember if it was former Frisco working, we are working the road switcher.
I will let him know Ken. I know he checks in here a lot but never posts much. He still builds quite a bit too. I know he enjoyed the early FMIG stuff. Even though I was pretty young I did too. Steve
OK, I'll give in and post a mug shot as well. This is wife Caroline and yours truly on the beach at Pelican Bay in Naples at Christmas time. Ho Ho Ho, no white Christmas here! Ken
Nice to see you representing the 'Birds on the Gulf Coast, Ken. Everyone I know who's retired to Florida is always smiling. I do believe it looks as if Mr. and Mrs. Wulfert have settled in quite nicely. Best Regards,
Thanks Chris. Yes, indeed - the Cardinals are well represented by 'bird fans here. Blues too! But, we are, I'm afraid, well outnumbered by Boston fans. The Red Sox train just up the road at Jet Blue Park right north of the Ft Myers airport (RSW), and that draws a lot of them here. The Twins also train in Ft Myers, but there are not many Twins fans here by my count. Caroline and I both commented as we drove back from Olathe last week after being with our family there for 11 days that it is starting to truly feel like going home as we head south to Florida. We have been here full time now since late September after being part time seasonal "snow birds" since June of 2012. We have settled into our second condo here quite well. It is nicer, newer, much bigger, and more like a true home than a vacation place. We really love Naples! OK, a question for the Clinton, MO experts. We drove up to Olathe following the classic route up to StL, then over to the KC area. That is the fastest, easiest we to do it from Florida. On the way back down, however, we headed out over hill and dale. We drove through Clinton. As we drove east to Clinton on Mo 7 I saw what had to be an old railroad ROW cross 7 just before 7 turned to the south on the east side of Clinton and became Mo 13. That had to be the Frisco Clinton line, right? Where did I happen to cross the "Leaky Roof" ROW on this route? To the west of the ROW I saw? I know next to nothing about these two routes. As we passed Osceola on 13 I saw a Frisco 3-window caboose down below to the right on display. What number cab was that? BTW, it was raining like crazy as we passed through this area. Several lightening strikes. Later, on US 63/412 on the way to Memphis, we saw several BNSF trains headed by pumpkins on the old Frisco line Springfield to Memphis, and had a chance to pace one. He was really moving it! The line looked to be in excellent shape. Ken
Bill, would that be James Pekarek? The location looks familiar, and that looks like him in the background.
