Tomd6 asked, "Does anyone know if the Frisco issued any employee timetables with a 1980 date ? I have seen several dated 1979 and assumed they were the last issued prior to the BN takeover."

I believe the last system timetable was either 1971 or 1975. The last division timetables were dated 1979. Mark, Ken, Don, Brad, Karl, keep me honest here.

ETT #4 of 1979 was the last.

ETT #1 of 1971 was the only modern system ETT. ETT#2 of 1973 had reverted back to a divisional format.

As usual, Karl is dead on correct!

By the way, I still have a couple of the SLSF System Timetable No. 1 of October 17, 1971 left. I had 200 of them at one time! They are mint, unused. I have been selling them for $5.50 plus USPS 1st class postage ($1.00) in my envelope, $6.50 total.

If interested, send me a pvt message. This ETT is your only chance to get the entire SLSF railroad, including the QA&P, in one employee timetable.

excuse my ignorance but what is the deifference between a system and division time table?

The system ETT covered the entire Frisco, i.e., The Frisco issued just one ETT, and it contained every Division and Subdivision. More typical was the Division ETT, e.g., the Northern Division ETT, the Eastern Division, the River Division, etc. Those ETT's contain the subdivisions within that particular division.

Just to confuse things a bit, I believe that it was in 1964, when the Frisco issued a District ETT, e.g. the Northern and Eastern Division were combined into the Central District.

Right now (6-19-10, 9:48AM) there are four Frisco employee timetables #4 from 4-22-79: Western, Eastern and Northern divisions plus KC Terminal. FYI.

FYI, my last copies (turns out I had 3) of the 10/71 Frisco system ETT #1 have been sold. Thanks to all.

I'm trying to complete my collection of Frisco timetables relevant to my employment in the railroad industry. Are the four timetables from 1979 that Tom mentions the last to cover the entire system or are there more?

The four that Tom mentions do not cover the entire system, but individual divisions. The River Division is not represented in the list; by this time, I believe the River Division had absorbed the Southern Division all the way to Pensacola.

The last, and only modern-time, ETT to cover the entire SLSF system was No.1, 10/17/71. ETT's before and after were by division, and it seems they reorganized the divisions every few years just to keep us confused.

A statement of the last Frisco ETT's

System ETT #1, Sunday, October 17, 1971: A true system ETT. At this time the railroad was comprised of 3 Divisions, i.e., Eastern, Southwestern, & Southern. Small, Terminal Division Supplemental booklets for each major terminal were printed.

ETT #2, Sunday, September 9, 1973: The railroad was still divided into three divisions, and each had its own ETT #2. Terminal Division booklets were also printed

ETT #3, Wednesday, January 1, 1975: The railroad re-organized, and it consisted of the Eastern, Northern, Central, Western (QAP), Southwestern, Southern, & River Divisions. Each division had its own ETT #3, and each major terminal had its own supplemental booklet.

ETT #3A, Sunday, February 1, 1976: Same as ETT #3

ETT #4, Sunday, April 22, 1979: The last Frisco ETT. Same as ETT#3, except that the QAP was included with the SW Division.

Thanks to all that replied. I have a much better idea of which timetables to be looking for.
