During my down time on the Boston Mountains Sub Division layout I'm going to draw plans for a DCC HO layout that will be on top of the overhead valence. It will be U shaped 16 inches wide and about 28 feet long with a turntable on one end and Wye on other.

Thank you Chris for finding the track schematics, Karl for your dad's drawings and Keith for the floor plans.

A friend on Trainboard 3D printed the dome and arches below yesterday evening. They look fantastic and will be used when I scratch build the Ft. Scott Depot at a later date. Need to purchase some HO brick styrene from Top Shelf Hobbies in Owasso so I can get started on the depot.

I received the dome and arches for the Ft. Scott Depot from Sumner today, they look perfect. After I purchase some brick styrene will start scratch building early next week.

The guy you want is Sumner on Trainboard. I will send him a PM with your request and name. Do you have a Trainboard build thread for your layout?

Thanks Joe. Yes, there is a Crawford and Cherokee thread on Trainboard. I have the same username there.

Bob, Sorry to say Sumner said he can't do the 3D print at this time, maybe later. His priority is to install track on his N scale layout.

When I visited the Green Country Model Railroaders Association yesterday morning Dale Baker gave me four buildings, grain bin, tank farm and a 13 inch motorized turntable for my up coming HO layout.

    Thank you very much Dale!!!

I went to Top Shelf Hobbies this afternoon to purchase some brick styrene but it was out of stock so the owner, Royal ordered one and should get it in about a week. In the meantime I'm currently drawing the track plan for the layout on graph paper since my laptop isn't working right at this time. It's a little more time consuming but there's no big hurry to get it done.

Cynthia and I have been looking for a new apartment and having trouble finding one with a large enough bedroom for the N scale layout. Our apartment here in Broken Arrow is 900 square feet and the layout bedroom is 11x10. We are more or less camping out here, we have two recliners, TV, bed, few clothes and some kitchen stuff. The rest is in storage.

Thank you Bob ! That's the most head on photo I've seen, I can count the doors and windows. This helps a lot. My brick styrene should be in on Tuesday, can see a scratch building project soon.

Our truck has been in the shop for a week having power steering fixed and we will get it back tomorrow morning, it really stinks not having transportation. Luckily our neighbor gave us a ride a couple of times.

About two weeks ago we received 7 inches of snow, the most in several years. If I remember right it was 2008 when we had that much snow. We got about an inch this morning but it melted pretty quick with temperatures in the high 30,s.

Tomorrow afternoon will pick up the HO brick styrene for the Ft. Scott Depot scratch build and start building it later that night. Finally get to do some modeling, it's been a long time. Need to order some doors and windows for the depot but have everything else as far as I know.

I picked up the truck Thursday morning and brick styrene in the afternoon, started cutting walls this afternoon for the Ft. Scott Depot scratch build. Felt great to be able to work on this project.

Our day started out bad this morning, we had a tire blowout on the freeway. I was having trouble raising the truck with the jack because my hands are not in very good shape from years of riveting on commercial aircraft at Boeing. Luckily a nice guy stopped and helped me change the wheel so we were back on the road pretty quick. Seams like if it's not one thing it's another with our truck ever since we purchased it last May, it must have a gremlin living under the hood. Thankfully it's still under warranty so there wasn't any charges to replace the power steering. About two months after buying it they had to replace the motor, if it keeps breaking down we will have a new truck before we know it. Haha

Sometimes it feels like we can't get a break but I have received a lot of help from friends and have a lot of model items given to me. So everything works out great in the end.

I finished cutting the walls for Ft. Scott Depot yesterday evening and the windows should be here this afternoon. Next step is cutting out door and window openings.

The HO depot is going to be a large building to me after working with N scale for the last 37 years.

My work bench is a TV tray.
