Hi, My name is Cynthia Lovett, I'm joining the Frisco website because I'm interested in the Frisco history. I noticed that Frisco will be 140 years old on September 07. Do you guys have any celebrations going on? My husband is building a model railroad and that has sparked my interest. He likes the Frisco railroad too.
Hello Cynthia, you may wish to create your own account on here, because your posting shows up as Joe. Have a great day.
I thought I have my own account but I'm having trouble finding it. My husband is Joe Lovett and I'm helping him with his layout. I'm going to paint the backdrop when he's ready for it. Please help me find my own account.
Cynthia, I had exchanged an e-mail with you (or Joe) about this. Drop me an e-mail and I will provide your information again. I suspect both of you are using the same computer. Charlie
Charlie, how many Frisco items do you have now? Joe said that you have over 300 models. I keep telling Joe that he needs to get an insurance policy on his collection. Does he need to come up with a value of each car or locomotive and tally up the total? Joe has about 130 Frisco items and about the same number of models of other rail lines. Cynthia
Yes, I am over 300 for sure. I have not updated my roster since 2013 and have been planning on doing so when I can get a few free hours. I have what is on my roster, plus (I think) everything that has been released since I last updated it. All of those releases are on my N Scale blog. I did pass on the Broadway Limited E-8s though. I assume that with an itemized list your homeowners insurance would cover the value but I am not sure. It would be impossible to replace everything if something happened.
Cynthia fell on July 16th and broke her left foot, then two days later fell again and shattered her right ankle requiring surgery with several pins. She has boots on both feet and will have to wear the one on the left for six weeks, the one on the right for eight weeks. Below is some photos of her injuries. I wish I had taken the photos right after it happened because it would show Cynthia's temporary cast on the right ankle and the heavily bruised left foot. Her eight weeks will be up on September 12th. She's pretty much bed ridden right now. Joe
Jim, yes, Cynthia has a walker, wheelchair and a portable toilet to use. For the most part she stays within a three foot radius by her recliner and watch's TV shows all day long. There is not much else she can do. Joe
Joe, I am so sorry that she has been injured so badly. My hope and prayer is that she will heal quickly and completely. She was a big help in the attempt to have the Frisco.org in Tulsa a few years ago, and I have never forgotten that. Terry
I wish her a swift and complete recovery. I was in a nursing home for three months after a fall a couple of years ago. Being so restricted by physical condition is no fun!
Thank you guys for the prayers and well wishes! It means a lot! On September 12th I should be able to walk again, really looking forward to the 12th. The six weeks will be up on August 27th for my left foot so that will be a good day also. Thank you, Cynthia
Thank you guys for the well wishes and prayers you sent Cynthia's way. Our Frisco website is one big happy family. Everyone goes out of their way to support each other. Joe
Today is the end of my 8wks on my ankle break. I'm glad that's over, I can start walking around now. It's slow going but at least I can start. Cynthia
Good luck to you! In two days my wife will have been in the hospital for one month. It's tough. Charlie
