I found this forum due to my genealogical interest in the Frisco Railroad. Sadly my great uncle died in a railroad accident back in 1912 at the Frisco Round House in Kansas City. I was looking for the location of the Round House (realizing it would be long gone) and googled Kansas City and Frisco and found this wonderful organization. I understand there were 3 Frisco Round Houses in KC; it looks like all 3 were in the West Bottoms as far as I can tell.

I have also visited the Beaumont Hotel in Beaumont, Kansas and stayed and dined at that great little hotel. The wooden water tower that fed the Frisco steam engines is an amazing sight.

Welcome aboard! Too bad about your great uncle. Do you dabble in any model railroading or diorama building?

Welcome Aboard, Sherry! The water tower in Beaumont now has the Frisco coonskin back in place and the historical society there has built a reproduction of the most recent depot as well. I hope you find the web site very informative and interesting.
