The Frisco had 3 roundhouses in Kansas City. One for the Kansas City, Osceola and Springfield (KCOS), Blair Road, at Coberg Yard, and two at 19th Street Yard. The south roundhouse's turntable survived until the the end of the Frisco. The diesel shop lies over the site of the south roundhouse or perhaps just a bit to the south.
Many thanks to Karl for the information on the Kansas City 19th Street Yard. Any chance there are photographs of the south turntable on this site? I am not the best at navigating the website but I am pretty good at taking direction. I would like to see what it looked like for modeling purposes. I have a friend here in Kansas City who indicated a willingness to help me build and install a turntable if we can get photographs and if I have enough space. Thanks for all the help! Ship IT on the Frisco! Rick
Rick, I think the cover photo of FMIG NL 19 is of us on that Kansas City turntable. It is a through girder like the rest. Doug
Does anyone have photos of the Frisco roundhouses? I publish a newsletter for my NMRA division and my column is From the Roundhouse. I would sure be glad to give credit for the pictures if anyone can share them with me. Gary Hemmingway garyonho@cox.net

I cannot remember, these may be all Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) Railroad facilities. Maybe it will help on ideas for someone. Photographs from the mid 1960s.
All are at Katy's Glen Park Yard in Kansas City, KS. It was just northeast of Frisco's Rosedale Yard. The MKT's stone roundhouse at Glen Park was a real gem.
