Yellow rail joint bars?

I have noticed this on several different sections of track (mostly sidings and industrial spurs) that have been untouched from the Frisco era. Quite a few of the joint bars were painted yellow.

    Does this represent something unusual?

Years ago, they use to paint the insulated joints yellow, so the train crews could see them.
Some also painted the clearance points, but thinking that was orange.
The practice has changed a number of times over the years and differs among railroads.

The Frisco made small boxes from 1/4" boiler plate. These were painted Yellow to denote ownership, Red to denote maintenance, and White to denote clearance They were spiked to the tie so that the box rested on the base of the rail. See the attached PDF from the Standard Plans.
