Just wondering if "Frisco Mike" is OK in Granbury after the storms?

I posted a message to him on Facebook last evening ... No reply as of this time, but power or internet could be out.

    Howdy folks,

We have been without power since last night, but it just came back on. We are safe, but did have some damage. Lost a lot of trees and shrubs plus a few shingles. Next door lost the side of their house. Thanks for the thought folks.

Now, how can I use the crotch of the Chinese Pistachio for the lathe...

    Best,
    mike

    Mike,

Glad you and the family are alright. This Texas weather has been abrupt and brutal. Anyone who lives or has lived here knows how fast the weather can turn.

    Yep,
Been thru a couple Tornadoes myself, but have never seen baseball or softball sized Hale. Now that is some dangerous, nasty stuff, nothing like Texas sized Storms to ruin your day.. I mean that is just bad. Mike, and I hope all, glad to hear you are OK.
    Take Care

Good to hear that you and yours are safe and sound, Mike. And, here's hoping that the insurers in the area already have their catastrophe teams in the area.

    Best Regards,

After seeing news shots of neighborhoods that used to have homes, I was worried that you were among that sad number. Fortunately, you're OK and still kicking. Way too close for comfort...........

Tom H.- I can personally attest to the damage softball-sized hail can do. I was in Ft. Worth in May 1995, and my car was in an open parking lot. The windshield was demolished, and there were good-sized dents all over the car. An outdoor picnic on the Trinity River was hit, with folks suffering some nasty injuries (imagine a million Nolan Ryans throwing fastballs the size of that hail).
