I have been meaning to get a photo of the Intermountain comp gon on the site but kept forgetting. This thread reminded me.

This is a black one. Pretty close to the prototype as best as I can tell.

Ship IT on the Frisco !

    Rick -

Is your pic of the Frisco USRA composite gon - SLSF 50305 - one of the Yesteryear models or one you built and decaled from an IRC kit?

I don't like the way Yesteryear applied the SLSF and road number decals on the one I bought - SLSF 50276. I'm going to have to redecal it to be satisfied.

The one in your pic looks much better.

    Ken,

My car is part of the six car set from Yesteryear/Intermountain.

I know what you mean about the lettering issues. I bought a KCS version got home and found the misprint on the opposite side of the car. Guess which side faces the view on my layout?

    Ship IT on the Frisco!

    Rick - Thanks.

Yesteryear did a good job on application of all the decals on their IRC Frisco USRA composite side gons except for the SLSF and road number on both left sides - at least on my one and only example (SLSF 50276).

I've had a lot of trouble putting this particular IRC kit together - mainly with handrails! I'm getting too old for this fine black on black on black holes detail work! I may buy another one or two built-ups from Yesteryear - redecaling is much less of a problem for me than assembling the kit! I do like this IRC gon very much.

I'm putting a brand new HP stud-horse computer on line tomorrow. Best Buy's finest! (son Kurt works for Best Buy and we bought major stuff in Olathe last week while we were in Kansas.) This will replace a 2002 Dell Pentium 4 that is currently totally overwhelmed.

Wish me luck! I hope I'm on-line again sometime this week!
