Here is the diagram for Frisco's little "roadsters", 4-4-0 American types SLSF 182-187. These were originally built by Pittsburg Locomotive Works around the turn of the century. The Frisco rebuilt them and modernized them significantly in 1928-1929. In their role as light power for short local trains, they made quite an impression! Ken
The before look is depicted in the attached diagram. Front end throttles, super heater, and thermic siphons made them "state of the art". Too bad the Frisco didn't put one in the city park in Clinton, MO. 182 retired July 1950 184 retired April 1951 185 retired Sept 1951 186 retired Sept 1951
Here's where there is a picture of 187 before modernization: http://www.frisco.org/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=9492&d=1258677852
