    Would anyone be interested? .....

I have a Proto 2000, pre-Walthers, HO USRA 0-6-0, done very nicely as Rock Island 280. This is Proto 2000 item #30224. This is mint, new in the box, never run, fresh in the box with the P2K "0-6-0 Heritage" book, instructions, etc. Box and foam are in great shape. DC, no sound.

    See the attached pics.

These sold new for a MSRP of $249.95. I think I paid around $200 at Tinkertown. I recently saw a mint CB&Q version on eBay for $135 plus s/h. I'll offer this to frisco.org members for $125, plus shipping via USPS Priority Mail.

Payment by USPS money order or personal check preferred. I really don't want to pay the fee PayPal charges.

Cute little thing - if I don't sell it, I think I'll keep it. But then again, I never have used it!

Let me know if interested - either send me a pvt message via frisco.org to Meteor910, or send an e-mail to me at meteor910@mindspring.com

    Thanks.

I have one of these and it runs like a Swiss watch. This is not a paid endorsement.

I ran one on Rick's layout in 2009, liked it so much, I bought one at first opportunity. In fact, I liked it so much I now have three, or is it four? I installed Tsunami sound already in one and the others are to follow.

Rick, Keith - You guys are making me want to keep this little Rock Island puppy! I have a nice, wooden Rock Island crummy to go with it (from an old Silver Streak kit - not totally prototypical, but it looks neat). It rides behind two P2K RI SW's now.

I've never run this 0-6-0, but I have seen others run, and they are indeed smooth as silk.
