I just read in the June 1984 issue of Model Railroader magazine titled " Newburg on the Frisco" authored by Jan Jester. Featuring a HO layout that models part of the Eastern Division.
Are old issues of Model Railroader magazine available on the internet? Newburg, and + & - ~30 miles, is a very interesting area and subjects. Also Fort Leonard Wood spur. I would be interested about any thing in that area. Ref; June 1984 / Model Railroader magazine / Newburg and any other Newburg topics. Thank you
I acquired the CD 75 Years of Model Railroader. It has all the back issues since 1934. If you are looking for certain articles or subject go to the Search bar/screen and it will list all info within its file. This a a must have! I downloaded it so it is readily available instead of inserting the CD.
Hi John, Thanks for your reply. Now I know why you have so many likes ! Your download sounds outstanding. Thank you ! Also your modeling looks the best. Is the download posted somewhere on frisco.org ? .... Or is it attached to this chat ? I have a poor short term memory and poor computer skills. Help. Again thank you, Charles
Charles, John purchased the CD and as such was allowed to download the contents from Model Railroader for his own use. It would be a breach of copyirght for him to upload the content to this forum or share with anyone else.
I hope the MR "Search" feature is better than the one that came with the "Trains First 70 Years." That one is the next thing to useless. GS
Getting back to my intentions. (Newburg, and + & - ~30 miles, is a very interesting area and subjects. Also Fort Leonard Wood spur. I would be interested about any thing in that area). I should have been more specific; Newburg, and + & - ~30 miles, is a very interesting area and subjects. Also Fort Leonard Wood spur. I would be interested about anything railroading in that area. What are the railroading "topics" in those areas? Then I can do internet searches about those topics and also those histories. Where do the armies tracks start relative to the wye junction? I assume that the BNSF can use that wye junction for their interests (like the Frisco 1522 did)? Does the BNSF provide services to the army on that spur? Thanks guys, Charles ------------------
