  1. Hi, I'm Dave Burrows,

I grew up in the St. Louis area and grew up chasing the 1522 on many fantrips. The only time I ever rode behind her was the final fantrip. I have a number of models in HO scale but recently I have shifted most of my railroad modeling to live steam and I've decided on primarily modelling the Frisco (little taste of home considering I recently moved to Portland, OR). Anyway, I'm always looking for information on modelling Frisco equipment, especially photographs and scaled drawings.

    Best Regards,
    Dave

    Welcome Dave!

Where did you grow up in the StL area? As a kid I lived in U City, then later Normandy thru high school. After college and marriage, we lived in Olivette, then after time in Indiana (W Lafayette) and Ohio (Cincinnati) back to Frontenac, where we have been since 1979 (two different houses).

Hi there, Dave, welcome to our group.
Always glad to see another "West Coast" Frisco modeler.
A friend of mine here has about 3 miles of 7.5" track on 20 acres.
What gauge of track are you dealing with?
    Thanks,

Welcome aboard, Dave. What era do you plan on modeling?

    Best Regards,

  8. Ken-
I grew up in North St. Louis, right on the edge of Spanish Lake and Bellefontaine Neighbors. Lived there until I went off to college in Manhattan, KS and moved to Portland after I graduated last spring.

    Sherrel-
I'll be modeling in 7.5" gauge, my home track is the Pacific Northwest Live Steamers but I also hope to make it to Train Mountain every so often.

    Chris-
I'm primarily interested in the era of the 20s through the 50s, kind of a big window but it gives me some flexibility.

Thanks for the warm welcome all!

    Dave
