The original thread has been deleted because the discussion was, in my opinion, getting out of hand.

If you would be interested in purchasing one of the Frisco Operations videos, or have comments about the content of the videos, post your comments here.

It has been established that Steve Goen owns the copyright to the video, so there is no need to discuss copyright questions or ethics here.

I'm sorry to read about all the hoopla over the videos that were recently posted on this site. I got a chance to see them before they were removed, and I enjoyed seeing them. I would be interested in purchasing the said videos, if I knew how to order them. How much would they cost? Please contact me back with a reply. Gary Wayne

They are still there as of 8:45 Central Daylight Time.

I don't understand the hoopla. But whatever.

Some would rather the rest of us not see the Frisco in motion to make a moot point of principle. "I have it and you can't see it". Pretty childish if you ask me.

YouTube is loaded with supposedly copyrighted snips of movies, tv shows, and whatever else.

What about all the other images posted on this site? Do the same rules apply to everyone, or do we pick and choose, based on who makes the most noise?

What I find curious, is that there is at least one railroad video producer who posts his own snippits on YouTube to help generate sales.

Pentrex, and others put free snippits on their videos to generate sales as well.

How does someone like Mr. Goen expect people to buy his videos if there aren't any preview snippits available?

Oh, but I forgot. His stuff is all out of production. He prefers to play God and sit back and make people beg for his stuff. How many train shows has he been banned from? Why won't Four Ways West publish any more books for him?

What was accomplished by all of this?

    1) The videos are still where they were since we do not control them off this site; only links to them were posted here. The links in themselves were not the issue. The issue became name-calling and less-than-civil behavior.

2)My point is that this forum is not intended for people to fire back and forth at each other, or attack someone.

3)What I think we should establish here, without the negative stuff, is evidence for Mr Goen through the quantity of POSITIVE POSTS, the number of people that would be interested in buying a DVD of the video.

So....If you would be interested, provide a response, along with any additional constructive comments.

I would be interested in a copy of the Goen DVD as long as it is reasonably priced.

Therein lies the problem. He's never released anything in a DVD. As far as I know he hasn't released anything in his video line in over a decade. All of his previous video offerings were VHS.

Folks over on the Katy yahoo list beg and grovel, but he always turns them away or stalls them off. Don't take my word for it, go over there and look. He quit doing videos in the early 90's and started doing books.

But he had a falling out with Four Ways West over his Miss Katy Volume One, and his book publishing (by his own account) is dead in the water. Again, feel free to check out the yahoo Katy list, it's all there in his own words.

What good is it to have things that other people are more than willing to pay to see and purchase, and refuse to produce and sell, other than putting ego ahead of anything else? :(
