Like everyone, I am thankful for the things that matter; family, friends, health, etc., but to confine it to the Frisco realm, things I can be happy for as 2012 draws to a close are: Frisco in Color, Volume II Nothing Could Be Finer Than a Frisco Diner (a book we didn't even know about until a few days ago and I love it) A new Micro-Trains boxcar (road number 19210) Six Intermountain 3 bay hoppers (which are still to come) Six new boxcars from Wheels of Time (to be released in 2013) Two new VO-1000's from Atlas (to be released in 2013, plus 2 for TRRA too) My wish for 2013 is that we are offered even more! What about you fellows?
I thank my good friends; Mark Davidson (mark) for a copy of Nothing Could Be Finer than a Frisco Diner, Rick McClellan for his inlcusive operating sessions; Greg Stout for putting the effort and time in necessary to produce an excellent book, Frisco in Color, Volume 2, and all my friends (everyone) on Frisco.org for posting more valuable information and images that will be preserved for all.
Here's to the individuals who had the foresight over 3 decades ago to begin preserving the Frisco in miniature through the Frisco Modeler's Information Group. Our historical and modeling efforts in 2012 are all the better for their trailblazing. Happy Holidays to all,
I'll be very brief here ..... in addition to family(*), friends, health, security, being an American, etc, one of the things I am most thankful for is frisco.org. I really enjoy conversing about the Frisco RR and other selected topics with you folks. You are a fine bunch of people. Ken (*) We learned a few weeks ago that our granddaughters Addison and Lauren will have a new baby brother/sister coming in June, 2013!
Thankfull for family, friends, etc. But in the Frisco relm I'm glad to be in with a group of such nice people. You take the time to answer my random questions about projects I'll probably never do, and put up with me when I keep rambling on and on (latest example SW1500 project question.) Also for Rick and his great operating sessions and how great of a host he is. And also Rick and Keith for their very thoughtful gift to me. Thanks for a great year and looking forward to another one Ethan
Ethan: As the project coordinator for Athearn and Atlas I always welcome your thoughts and ideas. Keep them coming and have a very Merry Christmas.
