    Hey Y'all,

Does anyone have a good picture, or graphic of the "FRISCO SYSTEM" Coonskin logo, used on freight cars. I referring to the one as photographed below.

    Thanks,

    Manny

E-mail me at renapper@centurylink.net and I will E-mail you the logo. Sorry, I looked closer at the picture, and I do not have that logo.

Thank you both. I looked, but couldn't find. I appreciate it. Good things coming with that information. You'll all be happy!

I have secured the properly scaled white band "FRISCO SYSTEM" Coonskin. Thank you all for your help. Hint: KCSF&M folks will be overjoyed....

Very cool! I've never seen that particular logo before. And who wouldn't want an old Frisco wooden boxcar for a tool shed?

Tool Shed? Ain´t that Manny´s house?

Manny, in Joe Collias´ book "Missouri Pacific Lines in Color" on page 28/bottom, is a pix of a I-GN water storage tank built out of concrete, stone and steel! The late Emery Gulash shot it at San Marcos in 1945. You gonna have anything as neat as that on your pike? Guess the prototype is long gone? A pity since it was so unique. Did the Frisco have any oddities that were not "standard" on their lines? Joe´s book has a lot of I-GN taken in Texas. Wonder if he has any Frisco vintage color?

Is it true that old boxcar is still around in Vista? I remember a rumor that it is but I have my doubts. I've been down to Vista several times in the last year and have seen no sign of it. I can't see an old wooden boxcar lasting that long.
