I finally completed a PS1 boxcar started a long time ago. I used Joe Pennington's upgrade kit and decals to model one of the original PS1s delivered in 1948. His upgrade kit has an prototypical coupler box, 8 ft seven panel Superior door and plalcard board castings.

Thought there might be some interest in seeing one of these early PS1s. I need to do 2-4 more. Maybe Kadee will do some for us. After that I need to do of the the 1937 AAR boxcars.

Rick - What base PS-1 car or kit did you modify to make the original 1948 SLSF PS-1?

Per Joe Pennington's information in his #48PS1 Parts Kit, I used an Intermountain #40497 Undec PS1 Box. Not sure if these are available anymore. I was at a show last weekend and saw only a handful of kits for sale.
