Howdy folks, The Texas Western Model Railroad Club is once again on TV. Fort Worth's Channel 11 aired a feature spot in the Through the Lens local interests program. Hopefully, you'll notice the Frisco hat of one of the interviewees (me). Here is a link to the spot: http://www.cbs11tv.com/video?id=56173@ktvt.dayport.com. Have fun, mike p.s. Don't forget to stop by http://shop.twmrc.org to pick up a few of the Frisco flat car kits or RTR models.
As the kids say these days: "Frisco, represent!" Mike, you represented your club, the SL-SF and the hobby itself quite well.
Howdy folks, Thanks for the kind words. We do have fun. I have managed to get the Texas Special and other special freights on the schedule and will keep pushing. Sadly, we are out of room, or we'd have the Fort Worth 8th Street yard, then Sherman, maybe Tulsa, likely Springfield, too. We have St Louis in Staging. We're starting to see more and more Frisco equipment on the layout. I wish other Frisco modelers in the area would join the club. I drive an hour each way, and I'd drive further if needed. It is one heck of a great club (IMHO). BTW, I am overwhelmed by the ATSF and T&P gangs and need reinforcements... Best, mike
