I just received a letter from Jean Webb informing me that Brian passed away September 15th from complications resulting from his recent heart surgery. Several of us hosted Brian and his first wife Betty during their USA visit back in the 1990's.

Brian was one of our faithful HO Frisco modelers from Australia.

If you wish to send Jean a card: Jean Webb, 46 Northview St. Rathmines NSW 2283, Australia

Brian was one of the good guys and will be missed by the FMIG community.

Another friend who modeled Frisco down under is Jeff Barclay. I haven't heard anything from him for years and wonder if he's OK. Lost his contact info.

Doug, it's even more amazing to me how you and the rest of the FMIG crew managed to build Frisco connections and friendships around the globe, in the days preceding e-mail, social media, etc.

I still feel like those of us newbies owe you, Brian, and every other FMIG contributor a big heap of thanks for laying the groundwork for what we have today.

I never met or conversed with many of these individuals, but feel like I've gotten to know them a little through the scanned newsletters, and the ones that Tim Cannon graciously let me devour years ago.

    Best Regards,

Sad news. I remember Brian but don't think I ever met him (Doug - Did he ever come to any of the FMIG meetings?). I recall he contributed some neat letters to the newsletter and carried the flag for the Frisco down under for us.
