  1. The Ozarks Model RR Assn will host its 32nd annual train show from 9 am to 3 pm, Springfield Catholic High School, 2340 S. Eastgate Avenue, Springfield, MO 65809.

We have many operating modular or display railroads of several scales scheduled with a couple more pending. There will be a model contest, swap meet and two clinics. Marty Vaughn MMR will demonstrate how to make people for your model railroad and Brad Sloan will tell how he's going to model the Eastern Division of the Frisco. There will be door prizes too. We are hoping to be able to announce a special prize before the show.

We also 8 home railroads available to tour beginning at 1 pm and running until 6 pm. The include an HO scale Alleghany Division of the C & O by John Brown, former President of the Pasadena (Ca) Model RR Club, Lynn Hart MMR has a nicely scenicked Lionel layout that is highly detailed with sound and car card operation. Louis Griesemer will share his N-Scale Frisco from Springfield to Monett, Keith Richardson has two G-Scale displays including a fully detailed Carnival plus a second layout that combines G and O scales. George Paul will share his freelanced HO Scale railroad with many scratchbuilt buildings, Al Clair has a O and On30 layout and I will be presenting my Springfield Sub of the Frisco featuring the Kansas Avenue Yard and five industrial zones with several industries that are no longer standing.

We have made arrangements for motel rooms at the Days Inn Hwy 65 & East Battlefield. Two Queen Sized beds, no smoking for $64.95. Mention the OMRA train show.

I'll be there at the Northview & Frisco display. We are planning on having diesel #86 and a boxcar up there. Stop by and say hi!
