Howdy George; sorry for the delay in replying. I think your idea's a good one; I'm thinking that any Kalmbach publications (is that right for Trains?) have a web-based search engine, but I'd have to double check.

As far as standards, mine for the FMIG newsletter index have not been terribly exact. I'm listing photos, drawings, specific "articles." From there, however, much of the nuggets of information are imbedded in the individual member letters. It'd be terribly time-consuming to list that. Maybe someday, but I'm working on getting something up and going soon.

      Best Regards,

      -Chris

This is in regard to your FMIG indexing project.
I have a collection of Trains Magazine spanning late 1944 to the present. Would a similar index of SL-SF mentions in Trains be useful to the Frisco.org library?

Does something already exist? Is there such an index in the FMIG newsletters?

I would like to do something useful like that for frisco.org, but do not want to re-invent that "flanged wheel."

I would appreciate standards to meet such as information fields for records created as well as how to present the data.

      Thanks,

      George Nelson, aka WindsorSpring

Thanks! Had a great time operating on Dave Acheson's Colorado Link. I'm up to five different local layouts.

      Hello,

Haveing a problem sending PM messages. I write the note and click on submit but no record shows up in my messages sent file. There were three PM's sent this week and do not believe they went through. Please tell me what I am doing wrong!

I have made three posts and being new put them in different threads. Is it possible to move the posts and any reponses to one thread? They are about the same subject. If so can the title be changed to "Manufactured N Scale Releases" and filed in the "Modeling of the Frisco General" forum?

      Thank You,
      Joe Lovett

      Chris,

I have a question into a friend of mine who is VP Operations at the KCT. He may know when Tower 2 went in.
