Taking time to wish each of my fellow Frisco fans a Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2010. Stay safe, warm, dry and healthy! And may Santa (whose suit is Mandarin orange, BTW) bring some Frisco goodies your way.
qla1975 opined: "[Santa's] suit is Mandarin orange, BTW" Some smart money says it was E-8 "Redbird" red, others say it is cab-roof red, but in the spirit of the season, we all agree it is Frisco-inspired, just like us.
Merry Christmas everyone. I'm working a 16 hour shift today and 8 hours tomorrow on Christmas. Feeling a little blue missing all of the events but that's life. Merry Christmas! Charlie
Been there and done that. A holiday was just another day to work but if you didn't do it there would be no holiday for all those that depend on you. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night
Got one of my Christmas wishes tonight Van Buren has about 5 inches of snow and this is like the first white Christmas is 20 years here!!! I wish you guys a Merry Christmas. I plan to walk down the road to see some very snowy UP and A&M equipment tomorrow. I already saw an A&M ALCO covered in snow earlier today. I hope some of you guys Christmas wishes come true too. Merry Christmas & Ship it on the Frisco!!! Murphy Jenkins
Well, It's Christmas morning and first I would like to say Merry Christmas! This morning I got a lumber building from Atlas and a Frisco caboose from athearn. Oh, and I forgot to mention that My brother and I got a new computer. Now we don't have to bug dad.
Merry Christmas to all! Charlie, I am also working an 8 hour shift today, but that is just the nature of the job - everybody likes to have electricity all the time, even on Christmas. At least the snow was fairly light in Northview this morning, I didn't have any trouble getting out of the driveway. Hopefully I can get some nice train & snow pictures either this afternoon or tomorrow...
Yes, that's wierd. For some reason they think the U.S. border needs to be open too. People should just stay home and light a candle today. Charlie
I agrea. In the US we don't celebrate navadad (na-vu-dad). It only snowed about 3 inches here in the burbs of Iantha, but it drifted like crazy. The wind is still blowing hard. It's sunny this morning and it stoped snowing, but for some reason we just now lost power. I heard there is a lot of snow in parsons, is that true Bob?
BAH - HUMBUG, No snow this Christmas either. High of about 68 yesterday and the same expected today. No wind, so makes for a very beautiful day all around. MERRY CHRISTMAS To All From The Left Coast.
Merry Christmas fellow Frisco Freaks. Here's a little "approach plate" humor for all you aviation enthusiasts. Doug
After I opened most my presents I walked down the road only to find me freezing my butt off outside trying to get some train pics and as I was about to give up I spotted a boxcar almost completely covered in snow and ice. I went back home and played my new Beatles Rockband and then I noticed I barely went through my stocking. Tucked away under a pack of Beef Jerky was an Accurail PS-1 Frisco Boxcar. This was my only Model railroad stuff this year. I moslty got Video Games and Airsoft guns and ammo. But all aside I got myself one more peice of good equipment for my layout. I hope you guys are having a wonderful Christmas Ship it on the Frisco!!! Murphy Millican
I got 2 of the Athearn 60' flat cars with lumber from my Grandparents. They are very nice. Here are some pictures.
It wasn't me! My grid stayed up for my whole shift... I'm not sure why I can't insert an image today, but here is a link to a picture of my diesel #86 warming up on the morning after Christmas... not much snow on the ground, just enough to make things white. I Hope everyone has a Happy New Year! - James
