A while back, I found these two websites with Frisco stuff I've found useful for making decals. I copy, paste, and resize what I need in Microsoft Word. I print them on Testors 5.5" x 8.5" white decal paper No. 9202 (white - not clear - because my printer doesn't print white) (made in USA) available at Hobby Lobby & other places I suppose. I recommend filling up a sheet prior to printing so that it is easier not to waste the decal paper. The links are: http://www.railsimstuff.com/fonts1.php (Eurida font for Frisco diesels) & http://www.railsimstuff.com/fonts2.php (Erieroman font for Frisco steam). I'm not sure if these are 100% prototypical but they're close enough for me. I thought I'd share the wealth. There is more useful stuff there if you're into modeling some of the other railroads they have as well. You will have to follow some directions to install the fonts. I Hope this helps anyone who wants to make their own decals.

Looks like good stuff. I downloaded Eurida, Erieroman and Texas Special fonts. It was very easy to add to my computer.

My question is if you print your own decals, how do you know what the correct size of font to use in MS word? Or how to get heralds and other non typed items the correct size.

    Ethan,
I put a ruler on whichever item I'm decaling to determine approximately what size the decal should be. Same thing for the font. Then I compare measurements with the rulers at the top and bottom of MS Word. Like I said, I may not be 100% accurate on an exact 1:87 HO scale but it's a factor I'm willing to live with...not to mention the fact that making my own decals easily allows me to have my own custom roadname for my shortline (former Frisco branch) layout. If you're one who prefers "highly accurate to prototype" decals (not me) it will either take lots of practice or leaving it to the pros. For me...I just enjoy making my own decals... I enjoy "projects" in general. ...but that's just me. Good luck if you choose to give it a try. - Brandon
