Great as always. However, those listed as Attachment xxxx don't show. Something about not be valid or something.
Thanks for the heads up on that. I'm still trying to master/experiment with the upload process for the forum. Go back all the way to post #56 for the most recent updates and pics. All the attached pics should be available now.
Love the pale yellow '57 Chevy BelAir in the scene with the neat Frisco 2-bay hopper cars! We had a '57 BelAir 4dr hardtop in just that color, 283 V-8. I learned to drive in that beauty! Ken
Thanks. I'm glad you appreciate it. I'm not sure if the Highline ever saw a string of coal that long but I put too much time into those 2 bay hopper reskins not to show them off.
It just keeps getting better and better. The Bolivar buildings are fantastic. And all the scenery is really looking good. Looking forward to a chance of running trains on the Highline someday! Dale Rush
You can look at many of the old shots of Clinton in B&W and only get an idea. Putting the flesh back on the bones puts you there. Thanks so much for your efforts. Simply Fantastic! Ricky
Thanks for all your comments guys. They keep me plugging away on the route when I can make time. On another note I just received a follow up email from Joe Fugate over at Model Railroad Hobbyist Magazine. It's been over six months since we have had any communication about doing a Trainz article featuring the Frisco High Line. I really thought they were not interested. Looks like he would like to start discussing the possibility again. They have created a nice online publication over there and it would be quite an experience creating an article for them.
Polk County A few updates. Here's some views from Polk County. The blacktop is Mo. State Hwy O. I spent one weekend on the old Highline researching these exact spots.
The dog out standing in the field was fun. So was the cab view. You need some steam ;-) George Nelson
Actually I made three short videos a while back. I'm not sure why I never posted them but here you go... the in game video quality is much better but I had to make some compromises for quality when uploading to youtube. This is Flemington, Mo The MKT in Clinton North Clinton That is my old Boxer Bailey... great dog. I still miss her sometimes. Not at all. Steal away.
Thanks everyone for the great comments. I've been working on Lowry City a bit. Thanks again to Deane Tunley for the Agri Services building in Lowry City.
Beautifully done! Nice sky, chain link fence, weathering and period vehicles. It would be cool to turn this rendered environment into a 3D game and be able to get into locomotives and drive them. Keep up the good work.
Well you can. It's called Trainz. You can drive from within the locomotive or simply give commands and watch all the action (my favorite). Did I understand your post correctly?
Trainz is very versatile software. I like to use it as virtual modeling tool. Create the layout of my dreams. Some just like to get in the cab and drive as a simulator. It's really up to the user. Anyway thanks for the comments. I appreciate them.
