Hey everyone. I'm Jake. I was lucky enough to be stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City from March, 1979, until August, 1982. This allowed me to chase a number of railroads before they disappeared altogether, one of which was the Frisco. The main reason I chose to join this forum was to share some of the things I was fortunate enough to see and document before the Frisco vanished under the green and black of the Burlington Northern. The first thing I chose to share was pictures of the wreck of former Frisco GP38-2 460, which was patched to BN 2315 at the time. I look forward to sharing some of my other Frisco pictures (even those patched to BN, if allowed) as time permits.
Welcome Jake. I'm a little late. I lived in OKC from 1994-2005. My office was in the Union Station (old Frisco Station). I know several with the RR museum there. I enjoyed the history so much since I grew up along the Frisco in Rolla, MO.
