I came across a collection of J. Parker Lamb photographs, many featuring the Frisco: http://www.railphoto-art.org/collections/lamb/group-five/ Rich
Rich, Thank You for posting the link!!! All of the photos are great. My favorite photo is of 915 going thru a super elevated curve. Joe
Still working on catching up on back messages. Rich, this is a real gem. I noticed there's a photo Trains 105 and 106 meeting at Winfield, AL in 1955. Not sure which one's which, but they both have Redbirds on the point in matching white-outlined "Cat Whiskers," or FR-P3 scheme as designated by Mike Condren in FMIG Newsletter #42 FMIG Newsletters In any event, I started to say that this same photo is in the book Night Trains: The Pullman System in the Golden Years of American Rail Travel by Peter Maiken.
At a recent train show, I picked up the book Steel Wheels Rolling, A Personal Journey of Railroad Photography by J. Parker Lamb for $1.00; a true steal. What wonder shots.
REALLY enjoyed that collection of photos. All the railroads were interesting. Excellent photography. Thanks for the link! Andre
