The source of my passion for things, railroad and specifically things, Frisco died early this afternoon. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a railroader, beloved husband and a great father.
Karl - So sorry to hear of your loss. Caroline's and my thoughts are with you and with all your family. Ken
So very sorry to hear of your father's passing Karl. What a loss for you, but us all, as well. We are losing these treasures at an alamaring rate. The Korean vets are among the least celebrated, but most deserving veterans we have. I am very sad for you and your family. Kindest regards,
Karl, I am sorry for your loss, also. It is tough loosing our parents, and the best way we can honor and remember them is to live the legacy they taught us as I know you will. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Terry Jankowski
We never get too old to not want our mom n' dad around. Very sorry for your loss, Karl. He has left a legacy through you.
Karl, I am, sorry for the loss, we will keep all the memories close of our extended Frisco family. Bill Jackson
Karl, already commented on FB to you, but will certainly echo all of the others comments .. Especially those via Tom Holly!
My condolences Karl, you were lucky to have him for a dad for sure. All of us on the forum are fortunate that you are willing to share all the knowledge and info that he helped inspire !
Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers. In spite of the circumstances, it was a great time to be with family and friends to reminisce about Dad.
Just returned from Scotland and read of your fathers passing. Your family are in my prayers. Heaven is a richer place now!
Just one last comment. One of the great things about being the son/grandson of Frisco railroaders, was getting to meet many of their fellow Frisco employees. During the visitation, John Donica stopped by to pay his respects. John was one of my Dad's best friends, and John stopped by the house on numerous occasions. I had not seen John in many years, and having the opportunity to catch-up and chat about the Frisco was a a pleasure in spite of the sad occasion.
