In case anyone is still struggling with those friction pins, simply screw a 3/8" long 2-56 screw into the truck hole; the screw taps itself as it is screwed in. I'd like to see them do a bi-level or tri-level auto rack in Frisco colors. Rich
The Frisco was one of the early auto rack users - they helped make it a viable method of shipping new cars. Even though the Accurail auto rack models may not be exactly correct for the SLSF, we deserve a Frisco auto rack from them. As with most of their Frisco models - it will sell. Ken
Re: Athearn Woes Rich described the pin which holds the trucks to the frame on the Accurail kits that I have purchased. They did indeed "bob" as they rolled down the track and would often derail. Although I purchased these kits within the last couple of years or so, I got them all at the Rosebud Antique Store in the metropolis of Rosebud Missouri, about 90 Rock Island miles west of St. Louis. The little store has a lot of new, never been opened kits from Accurail, Athearn, and Roundhouse. I suspect that most of the kits are about 10 years old. Pat Moreland, Union Mo.
