The St. Louis Steam Train Association (SLSTA) fleet of cars behind Frisco 1522 are not originals, but are beautifully done to resemble them. For a description of these cars, and for the latest information on 1522 and her trips, go to the SLSTA web page. Please see the following link. http://www.frisco1522.org It's very well done and informative, with many great photos of 1522 and her roster of supporting cars posted. Ken Meteor910@aol.com

As good as the Elesco looks on the engine, I'm surprised that the folks at Springfield didn't do one up in their spare time, just for grins. Don, I love the photos of you driving 1522 last month on the 1522 web site. I don't believe anyone ever looked more at home. Your Dad would have been proud. Ken
Hello Fellow Frisco Folks, Although the Frisco 4-8-2 SLSF 1522 is currently not operating, I thought you may like to see some photographs I took during its restoration and after, when she was parked at St. Louis Union Station depot. Take care, Rich Ship it on the Frisco!
slsf #1522 - As she sits today - The fire is out - the rods are down - and she really needs a good bath. It was like being at a funeral or a locomotive cemetary FM
Here are some views of Frisco 1522 preparing to leave Newburg MO eastbound, June 23, 2001. Photographs by Rich Lawler.
4-8-2 SLSF 1522 northbound near Old Monroe, MO with a Burlington 2-8-2 whistle. Enjoy the attached video.
Don, I have forgotten the background. What is the story behind the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy (CB&Q) whistle on 4-8-2 SLSF 1522? Ken
Howdy, Wow, that is a great video. It was funny to see those cars racing to keep up with 4-8-2 SLSF 1522, as she laid down and picked up those rods faster than the eye could see. Don, I am surprised you did not post this before...tsk, tsk. Actually, Don has been trying to post this clip for months and months. Once we moved to the new web host, he was able to post it. Thanks for sharing a little heart pounding adventure for us. Mike
The "Q" whistle was on there as we were going up to Kansas City, Lincoln, etc. for the Heartland Whistle Stop tour and to appear in the Truman movie for HBO. I wish we would have had her original whistle on for the movie. The Q whistle belonged to a BN Manager of Operating Practices (MOP) who asked us to sport it on the old Q. The IC whistle on her in the second video belongs to one of the St. Louis Steam Train Association (SLSTA) members. It is off the a 2-10-2 Illinois Central (IC) Railroad locomotive, IC 2807. This was on a "shakedown" trip to Newburg, MO. We were stopped halfway up Valley Park Hill killing time for a scheduled arrival at Webster Groves depot for some kind of shindig they were having. Turn the sound waaay up and enjoy.
I took picture of 4-8-2 SLSF 1522 on June 26, 1994 as she rolled into and out of Cape Girardeau, MO and the auxiliary water tender just this past week at her home at the Museum of Transportation in St Louis.
