It wasn't Frisco's first yard in Memphis. Much of it is gone now.

    God bless,

CKB - I'm on the road and don't have "Frisco Power" handy but I believe it makes reference to the Yale locomotive facilities, at least, being constructed in the early 1920s. Perhaps someone can give a more specific year.

Things have been rather quiet as of late. I'm loathe to post photos that are available elsewhere but one of the 1927 "Frisco Employees Magazines" had an aerial photo of the brand new Yale Yard. The .pdf runs it across two pages so, such as I could, I spliced the two together.

Perhaps others more familiar with the area can orient the rest of us e.g. north/south.

I attended a Mizzou baseball game today in Columbia on April 12. First pitch at 2:05=36 degrees F, felt like 29 with snow flurries throughout the game. I sure don't recall it being this cold this late in the year down in the Bootheel.

    Best Regards,
