It was not Frisco's first yard in Memphis.

Much of it is gone now.

    God bless,

    CKB,

I am on the road and do not have Joe Colias' book Frisco Power handy but I believe it makes reference to the Yale locomotive facilities, at least, being constructed in the early 1920s.

Perhaps someone can give a more specific year.

    Best Regards,

Things have been rather quiet as of late.

I am loathe to post photographs that are available elsewhere, but one of the 1927 Frisco Employees Magazines had an aerial photograph of the brand new Yale Yard.

The .pdf runs it across two pages so, such as I could, I spliced the two together.

Perhaps others more familiar with the area can orient the rest of us as to north and south.

I attended a Mizzou baseball game today in Columbia on April 12. First pitch at 2:05 it was 36 degrees F, felt like 29 with snow flurries throughout the game.

I sure do not recall it being this cold this late in the year down in the Bootheel.

    Best Regards,
