Wanted: Red Caboose 42' flat cars

    Needs me some Red Caboose 42' flats (3-4) road names not an issue, undec preferred as they are going to be stripped, and painted in Silver/Grey as MoW flats.
    Please PM me if you have or know where some are, that can be had reasonably :)

    There's a whole bunch of these on eBay. Or Intermountain sells them undec, new as kits. You should be able to get these at 25% off retail, so around $15 each.

    Let us know what you are going to use for rail, generally those had 6 or 8 spikes holding it down. About 3 gage rods per car, holes drilled in the web. The machines had small metal blocks, kinda curved, like the wheel. Bolted through the block. Then chains through the stake pockets with boomers. Short rails were bolted in between cars. The loading ramp rails, had the base of the rail torched off at a angle. they just sat their, gage rods holding, and a "Pig Pen" was built out of ties to support the ramp rails.
