I was recently looking through "Frisco Southwest..." and it made mention that Frisco's passenger steamers were painted an olive color...is this correct and if so what shade of olive was it? Outside of the blue and white ones, I thought the color was black. Secondly, were the VO660s delivered in the blue and white scheme? Thank you.

Yes, indeed, the Frisco's two Baldwin VO 660's, SLSF 600 & 601 (later renumbered to SLSF 60 & 61) were delivered in the blue and white paint scheme. Baldwin builders photo attached.

I think there was mention of a dark green scheme on some very early 1500's and maybe also one of (Or some of) the 180 class 4-4-0's. I think that was in Joe Collias' "Frisco Power" book.
