    Guys,
I just saw this on the RollaNet GRAPEVINE web page. It is a Pacific Fast Mail Express according to the ad. It looks to be BRASS but I can't tell who the manufacturer is by the photo. I guess the owner must not know what he has here because it is only listed for $60. Now this might be a typo, but it may be the person just thinks it is a toy and not worth anything. It is a United 2-6-6-0, built by Pacific Fast Mail. It is the Denver & Salt Lake steamer, book value: $425 without backhead detail. $725 with backhead detail.

Congratulations, Manny, I can't believe it wasn't already gone.

    Guys,
Before the name calling starts, I CONFESS! It's gone. I snagged it. Couldn't pass it up. I guess I must have called just before Manny did. When I picked it up from him he told me that when he checked his cell phone he had several calls on it in his voice mail, but I was the first. I told him it was worth more than $60. He told me he knew it was worth quite a bit but he inherited it along with a lot of other train stuff ( track, controllers, buildings, rolling stock, and several other NIB kits) and he didn't have anything invested in it. He said he was not into trains. He said that he just wanted to make room in his garage for his main passion. He is a motorcycle builder and was clearing out his lot of trains to make space for a custom Harley Davidson 1100. Manny, he has more locomotives if you want to give him another call. If you still want the 2-6-6-0 I have it listed under the link above. I already have two bids on it though. I also have an unpainted brass PFM 2-8-0 Consolidation locomotive listed and a NIB square back steam tender kit.

George, I am still scratching my head as to why you even called anyone's notice to it?
I would have kicked the chair over trying to get to the phone!

BTW .. Congrats on the snag.

For the record, I posted the thread about 10:30 AM this morning. I called the guy around 11:30 AM. The owner called me at 1:30 PM and told me that my call was the first he had listed on his voice mail and told me the engine was still for sale. In the future I will keep any further "GOOD DEALS" to myself. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes.

    George,

I'm not upset. First come, first serve. I didn't call, just emailed. I'm not upset. I'd like to know what else he has though. I'm looking for particular models.

No harm George. You are okay!
