Wow! Thanks for the pic Charlie. I didn't realize it was that bad. Springfield must of got a lot of rain yesterday. I know the Royals game was delayed until 9:15. Stayed up and watched every minute of it!

I was at our place in Stockton, Mo during the 4th of July weekend. I couldn't understand why the town was so crowded with huge boats and people. That is until I found out a no wake was in place for the entire Lake of the Ozarks. Must be getting really bad some places.. :(

Yesterday? We didn't get a drop yesterday in the Ft. Smith/Van Buren, AR area, and we're only a few hours from Ozark, MO! Crazy weather this year.

LOTO was No Wake on Friday only. We had ducks swimming behind my seawall! By Saturday, the No Wake was lifted as they dropped it by a couple of feet overnight and it was back in business as usual. I guess some people just couldn't wait.

And yes, after all the earlier rain the ground was pretty much saturated so when another heavy round comes though it just runs off. Given all that land down south is made up of hills and hollers, the water has to go right through where most towns are built - in the valleys. I feel really sorry for those folks.

Heard from a friend in Ozark, and she said the Findley River was just crazy out of its banks.

My sister, who lives between the Finley river and the Walmart on Business 65 told me the main area of flooding was the park, where the caboose is, and that both the bridge between the mill and the
park and the highway 14 bridge over the Finley were closed. She said the water receded pretty quickly.
