The Frisco Northern Division played host to James Stapfer of Zurich Switzerland Saturday May 15. This is the second visit for James but this time he was put to work in the KC yards. James quickly acclimated to the KC style of operations including the car cards, train blocking, interyard transfers and more. During the "work" session, he indicated that he was interested in how we operated our freight based US layouts so everything was good. In Europe, most operation is passenger oriented with a few cars being switched but not to the level that we do in the US. Interestingly James belongs to a club in Zurich that is working on a Colorado narrow gauge railroad.
