 My thanks for the invititation to introduce myself. This was a few months back and I was not sure what to say. Nothing has changed so will just give it my best shot.
My railroad career started in 1952 and ended 50 years plus in Oct, 2002.
Lot's of miles! Most of my experiences have been with the MofW/Engineering Departments.

After leaving the Frisco RR in 1966, (Military Service 1955-57) I was employed in the railroad supply industry which took me to many, many railroads in the U.S. and a couple in Canada. Probably very few of us realize the amount of railroads that are owned/operated by heavy industries, the Military Depots, etc. and Short Line Railroads!

I am now involved with The Railroad Historical Museum, Inc. in Springfield, MO and also The National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees, Unit #166. (NARVRE) Reading the Frosco.org web page is very interesting and informative.

    Thanks for listening.

Welcome. I'm a retired C&O Conductor (can't all be perfect) and really miss riding the rails. Too bad I was born a few generations too late. The Frisco Folks here are great. You'll learn a lot and they have put together a great resource of the Worlds #1 Railroad of all time!

ST. LOUIS & SAN FRANCISCO RY!

    Enjoy,

    Manny
