I'm looking for any color images of the skirted 1060-1069 Hudsons. We are trying to decipher what some of the 4,000 different paint color combinations were on these. The ones that ended up with stainless skirting are fairly easy, but the ones where the skirts are painted are driving me nutzo. John Sanders sent a Frisco spec sheet denoting canary yellow as the primary color on the painted skirts. I had interpreted the black and white photos as being either white like the Firefly or painted aluminum. I want to make sure the importer has it dead on. I guess if nobody knows though...........................Pomegranite and Puce?
Whoowe .. I would have staked my life on white! Yellow just does not seem a logical choice to me. Certainly no help from here.
I am no help, either, but the Wabash, Frisco and Pacific ran one of their live steamers with yellow on the skirting. The full-sized ones must have been impressive.
Does Mr. Collias have any color slides stashed away that might contain Frisco 4-6-4s in the background? John Sanders
Here's a photo of one (maybe) - http://www.rypn.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34451&view=next Scroll down towards the end of the page.
