craigh: The KCT is one of my favorite KC lines. I was really bummed when it morphed into what is now. The S scale SW-9 is a dead ringer for that EXCEPT for the full length handrails. Unfortunately, the S scale model has a cast metal frame/sidesills and drilling that would be a colossal nightmare. (Think: The older Atlas GP7.) Believe me, I would really like to "someday" figure out a way to model a KCT SW in S scale. I already have S scale sets of decals waiting! Andre
Saw a pic from the post pop up on the main page, and figured I'd post a couple pictures of my new toy that should soon be delivering traffic on Rick McCellan's Northern Division.
Nice looking model, Matt. Wasn't the KCT the outfit that briefly took over the Rock Island after it went bankrupt?
While it doesn't make much sense, I do believe that they did run the RI for a very brief period of time.
