I hope all of you enjoyed a very merry Christmas. We did, though Christmas day in the 80's was a bit strange!

Let's start a new thread to finalize my listings. There are several items to list, but the vast majority have already been listed. I call your attention again to the Naples Updates 2, 3, 4 & 5 listings - there are some quality items still listed, but yet unsold. If you don't like my price, I will entertain an offer. Don't let these go - they will go to eBay once we are done here, and they will cost more, most likely, than I have them listed for here.

I have five listings tonight, including the final two Kadee PS-1 box cars - the two that, in my opinion, are the best looking two PS-1 HO models that Kadee has yet done (Hint - they were their first two Frisco PS-1's, and they are wonderful looking).

    Thanks.
    Ken

Here are two unusual locomotives, but they are very neat. These are two Proto 1000 Pennsylvania RR (PRR) Fairbanks-Morse C-Liner B-B diesels built to compete with F's and FA's, etc. Nicely done, good looking - here we have Pennsy C-Liners PRR 9448 and PRR 9493. They used the F-M vertical opposed piston engine, and were in fact pretty good locomotives, but suffered from the fact that they weren't EMD's or Alcos, and that they were a pain to maintain because of the complex engine design. They sport the handsome PRR Brunswick Green color, yellow lettering, and the PRR Keystone logo. Hey, how about a PRR run-through on your Frisco layout? Each unit has slightly different details on the roof - horns, antennas, etc, to make them look a bit different. They run very well. Two A-units, sold individually or as a pair. List price per unit was $62.50 FYI.
    PRR 9448 - cost is $39.00 (P1K item #23988) (SOLD)
    PRR 9493 - cost is $39.00 (P1K item #23989)
The two A-A unit pair - cost is $72.00
They are heavy (and will pull anything), so ship cost is $11.50 for one, $13.45 for both. Payment as per prior listings - check, USPS m/o, or PayPal "friends & family".
    Thanks.
    Ken

Continuing the PRR theme, your PRR involvement needs a Pennsy caboose. Here is Bowser's model of a Pennsy N-8 caboose, one of their many mainline designs. This is Bowser kit 56304, done nicely in PRR's dark red color on the sides and ends, but black roof, in the PRR "Shadow Keystone" scheme. This is PRR 478070, with detailed handrails, sprung roller bearing trucks, window glass, brake hoses, and Kadee couplers. Bowser is unmatched in the excellent PRR models they offer. This cab listed for $29.95.
Price to frisco.org folks is $14, less than half price. Shipping will be $7.50. Payment as described above.
Thanks. (Withdrawn, no longer for sale)

Here are the two best looking Kadee HO RTR models ever done, in my opinion. The reason they look so good (to me) is that they were done by the Frisco using the red oxide color all over - sides, roof, ends, roof walk, everything. I really like that look. Most of the Frisco PS-1's used black roofs, black ends, unpainted alloy roof walks, etc - not at all bad, and still looked great, but these guys are special lookers.

First is Kadee item #5206, Frisco PS-1 SLSF 18299. As stated, this car is all red oxide color. Wonderful graphics, lettering, coonskin, and the famous "Ship it on the Frisco" slogan. This Kadee model is special - for a significant time, this model held the record at Kadee for selling out the quickest. I chalk that up to how good the model looks.
Here are the usual stats I supply - the car has the usual Frisco 8-ft Youngstown door, was built in Feb, 1954. It went out of stock at Kadee on June 2, 1999, and was the first Frisco PS-1 to be offered by Kadee. They flew off the hobby shop shelves, and led to a quick follow-up by Kadee as described below. List price for this car was $29.45.
Price to frisco.org is $25.00. Shipping will be $7.50. This can be combined with other items to save shipping costs. Payment as described above.
    Thanks. (SOLD)

Second is Kadee item #5102, Frisco PS-1 SLSF 17549, the follow-up car. As stated, this car is all red oxide color. Wonderful graphics, lettering, coonskin, but with the classic "Frisco Fast Freight" slogan.
Here are the usual stats I supply - the car has the usual Frisco 8-ft Youngstown door, was built earlier in Jun, 1951. It went out of stock at Kadee on April 17, 2000, and was the second Frisco PS-1 model to be offered by Kadee. They flew off the hobby shop shelves as well. The success of these first two Frisco PS-1 models led to Kadee offering the many other SLSF PS-1 models we have seen since. List price for this car was $28.95.
Price to frisco.org is $25.00. Shipping will be $7.50. This can be combined with other items to save shipping costs. Payment as described above.
    Thanks. (SOLD)

Here is something different that might be of interest to many of you. This is a packet of twenty (20) unused, unfolded, mint Frisco dining car menu covers as used on The Meteor and other Frisco name train diners. They make for a fine memento of the days when travel on a Frisco diner was quite possibly the highlight of the trip. Again, these are mint, unused, unfolded. Nice graphics of the train on the cover, with two Racehorse E7's (!) at the head end, SLSF 2001 and SLSF 2005, leading an entire lightweight red & silver consist.

Price for the packet of twenty menu covers is $14.50, with no charge for shipping. I'll pay the cost of Priority Mail shipping to the buyer, $6.45, leaving $8.05 for me, or about $0.40 for each menu cover. Fair enough? There are possibly two or three more packets of 20 if several people desire one. Hope so, they are neat! I've had these for over 30 years.

    Thanks.
    Ken

Here is a new listing for today. This is Athearn Blue Box (remember them?) item #5330, an express reefer used in head end passenger service, done up as SLSF 5073, used as a head end car in Frisco passenger service. This was an undec Athearn kit, decorated by me using Champ's excellent duluxe gold decals. The car has express trucks with Kadee metal wheels, Cal Scale brake hoses, Cal Scale passenger steam and signal lines, and Kadee couplers. Doing the trip to Florida, the car apparently bounced around a bit in the box, and three of the four stirrup steps were broken off, along with the passenger steam/signal lines. All parts are included in the original Athearn Blue Box. Easy repair; sorry about that - we had some poor packing experience from our mover. The car is passenger dark green in color. See the pic.
Price to frisco.org members is only $10. Shipping alone will cost an additional 6.80. Buy this and add something else to save on shipping cost. Payment as usual; described above.
    Thanks. (SOLD)

Time t start listing again. I'd like to start with some models you can actually do model railroading with, rather than just buying excellent decorated models such as the Kadee's we have been dealing with recently.

Here we have a Stewart undecorated F3B, an F3B phase II as the Frisco used. It has the excellent Kato drive which runs very well with the other fine running diesels we know about, Katos, Athearn Genesis, Intermountain, recent Walthers, etc. This obviously can be decorated in either b/y or o.w with full Frisco striping appropriate to the scheme you select. However, a lot of people shy away from the striped models, as doing a good job on that task is difficult. So, let me show you what I did on a few of these (Tom Holley also) - the first few pictures below show SLSF 167, a Stewart F3B just like this one, that I did in the "austerity" scheme - no stripes! Just paint it black, get out your Microscope decals, and letter it up. I did three of these (they are all sold now, including SLSF 167 recently in this sale. It's easy, and fun.
The Stewart F-unit models are very well done, and the Kato drive is an added bonus. Price to frisco.org members is $35.00, plus $10.50 shipping via Priority Mail (package weight is almost 2 lbs). This item can be combined with others to save shipping cost by combining them in a flat rate box. As before, payment via personal check, USPS money order, or PayPal (preferred) via the "friends & family" option to avoid the fee.
You will be hard pressed to find a smooth running locomotive as this is for only $35. Remember, the decorated model pic below is an example of what can easily be done. This item I'm listing is undecorated, in gray plastic. And, yes, the Stewart F-units do have d/b, which the Frisco did not have. However, in the F3B, the d/b is just a set of grills on the top of the unit, and is easily removed. See the top view. Thanks.
    Ken (SOLD)

ps - This is the last F3B I have. However, I do have a Stewart F7A single headlight, and a F7A double headlight available, both undecorated. Same conditions as noted above.
ps2 - Remember I also listed an undec Stewart F9A earlier. I'm lowering its price to $35 to be consistent with the above as well.

Here is an inexpensive one. This is a new, mint undecorated heavyweight baggage car, MDC Roundhouse item #6020. It comes with four wheel trucks, but I have added a pair of six wheel trucks as that is what the Frisco normally used on their heavyweight head end cars. With the six wheel trucks, you will need to add coupler boxes on each end. The four wheel trucks have the couplers truck mounted (which is another reason to not use them!) Paint the car passenger car/Pullman green, decal it, and add it to your passenger consist. Lots of nice underbody and roof details are included in the kit.
Cost is low - $6.00 to frisco.org members. Shipping would be $7.00, so this item would be one where it makes sense to combine it with another item still unsold in my prior listings. Payment as noted above. Thanks. (SOLD)

Speaking of Frisco passenger head end consists, here is a nice one. This is Branchline Yardmaster Series item #8016, an AAR 40ft boxcar done as a Frisco express boxcar commonly seen up front on the head end. See the pic - this car is done in passenger green with yellow lettering and a nice black & yellow "Frisco Lines" coonskin logo. Note also I have added the correct Allied Full Cushion trucks to this car. Makes for an interesting addition to your passenger consists. The car number is SLSF 149194.
Price to frisco.org members is $11.00, with an additional $7.00 for shipping. This item can certainly be combined with other items to save on shipping costs.
I noticed tonight on the right side (B-end as the rear) the Youngstown door is slightly pushed into the door frame. Simple fix with an XActo knife to pop it back out. I'd fix it quickly, but I have no tools here. Must have happened when it was being packed back in September. Minor problem. Thanks.

Actually if the F9 is still up for grabs I will do it too.

    Steve -
Yes, the Stewart F3B is still available, as is the Stewart F9A. They are both yours - thanks! Price is $35 each, plus $13.45 for shipping in a Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate box (weight will be just under 3 lbs - flat rate territory). Thus, total is $70 for the two F's, plus the $13.45 shipping, equals $83.45. As usual, I would prefer payment via PayPal "friends & family".
These are nice F-unit models, they run as good as any via the Kato drive, and they are bargain priced! I've gone through about 15 of these through the years - sold them all now except for one F7A single headlight unit, two F7A double headlight units, another F9A double headlight unit, and a F3A Phase II low fan single headlight unit, good for SLSF 5000 and 5001, the two "chicken wire" F3's.
The three F7A's are available at $35 each, but I'll probably keep the F3A-II and the last F9A. I'd still like to finish them some day.

  16. Thanks Ken. Payment sent, I will share the finished product here for sure. Funny, I had just started to look for a Bunit for a simple austerity repaint like yours when you posted this. Great minds right? HA

Sounds good Steve. Would love to see pics of your finished models. Love b/y F-units (and FA's/FB's)!
I thought it would be helpful to post the pic of SLSF 167 with the B-unit listing to confirm how easy it would be to do the "B" as an austerity unit. 167 is the former SLSF 5117, and was the Frisco's final F3B. I didn't realize until I pulled out the "Stewart" F-unit box last week that this one was the last B-unit I had available. Only A's available now.
Thanks again. I'll get you packed up and out ASAP.

Here is a very nice item - an Athearn "Ready to Roll" EMD SW1500, Athearn item #ATH96734, done as a Frisco SW1500, SLSF 354. See the pics. This is an excellent model, released about two years ago; this is essentially mint in the box - it was out of the box for about six months on display, but otherwise has not even been run. Athearn did a nice job on this example of the Frisco's 2nd generation switcher, EMD 645 engine, 1500 HP, part of the class SLSF 315-SLSF 360. Used all over the system. Athearn delivered a very nice o/w decor, crisp lettering and striping, blackened grills, Frisco specific details such as roof mounted beacon and radio antenna, AAR Type A trucks with roller bearings, brake and m/u hoses, etc. DCC ready. Nice!
Price to frisco.org members is $77.00 plus $10.00 shipping (weight ~1lb 6oz). Compares to eBay listings for these SW1500's of $95-$110; saw one posted at $130. Can be combined with other unsold items from my earlier listings and shipped in a flat rate box ($13.45) to save shipping costs. Payment as noted above. Thanks. (SOLD)
