Howdy folks, The Texas Western Model Railroad Club's custom painted 40' HO yellow flat car kits are almost gone. If you wanted a kit instead of RTR, then now is the time to purchase one. There are a few kits left in road numbers 95523, 95644, 95702, 100008. Wooden decks are available again, too. The club's storefront is at http://shop.twmrc.org. Best regards, Mike Corley
Re: Yellow SLSF flat car kits almost gone Howdy Manny, The Frisco purchased 500 of these 42'10" flat cars numbered 95300-95799 and used them in general and company service from 1928 until the merger in 1980. The kit represents this car repainted from box car red to yellow in the 1950's. They lasted until the merger with the BN. Here is a thread detailing them from the decision to have them manufactured until now: http://www.frisco.org/vb/showthread.php?t=3184&highlight=yellow+flat. The 100,000 series cars were 2" longer and represent the 43' car, too. They were almost identical except the length. If you want to change the numbers or add more to a roster, we have decals available to do so (special order but available). Best regards, mike
