...someone e-mails for support in the next two or three days and does not get an answer, the big New England storm is headed our way. I live in the farthest reaches of Downeast Maine where Maine, New Brunswick Canada and the Atlantic Ocean meet so the storm is headed this way now. Also, I live out in the woods at the edge of a lake so we are susceptible to power outages and it is not fast to come back on. Wish me luck... Charlie
Just hunker down and stay safe! Just 10 days after we moved, we got nailed with a blizzard that left over 2 foot of snow. We didn't get out for over a week. Thankfully, we never lost power.
Charlie, hope things are getting better for y'all up there. I have a question about the new look/workings. Formerly when going through posts via the portal, I could Refresh and see which strings I had looked at. I think it now refreshes for current postings but none are dimmed or otherwise show I have read the current version. That was a convenient feature, although I guess I can try to learn to keep track of what I've read.
I agree with Steve. I also would like to ask if the back ground color is supposed to be white? On my computer it does but on my Cell it looks like a light lavender.
The Portal Page add-in that was previously used kept track of the links that you had opened from the Recent Threads block. I don't know if that is a possibilty in the new block; Latest Frisco Discussions...
Steve, I understand your question. The old portal fed off the "Today's Posts" page (click for that page) and it does show posts that have been updated since your last visit in bold, and posts that you have already read in normal (unbolded) text. Unfortunately, the vBulletin portal page does not get it's results from that page and thus, no bold/non-bold text. I do agree with you that this is very convenient in looking at what you have read. The Activity Stream is the most convenient way to see recently updated threads, although it too does not unbold threads that have been read. You can see post text though which is very helpful. Bob, Where exactly do you mean on the background? Do you mean the background of the posts (where the red arrow points)? The background of the text area is #FAFAFA which I consider to be a light white. What kind of phone do you have? Have you tried Tapatalk to view the forum? I use that on my phone and it makes it really easy to use the site. Charlie
I can tell the borders are lavender but even where the arrow points looks like a light lavender on my phone. I believe it is the phone as I have noticed it on several other sites in the last couple of days.
It must be your phone because I don't think anything is lavender. As mentioned above, if you want to surf Frisco.org on a phone, I strongly suggest Tapatalk. You can download it in Google Play or the Amazon App Store. Charlie
