Hi from Linn, MO

  1. I'm Bill Wirtel, a member of the original FMIG group. I was 12-13 years old at the time, but a certifiable Frisco nut. I grew up running around the Lindenwood yard (with permission). I'm happy to reconnect with anyone who remembers me. I hope to continue scanning my photo collection and sharing it here. I have more Frisco memorabilia than I will ever know what to do with! I also have a box with a nice collection of mint condition Frisco clearance and train orders. "Some Day" I'll get them scanned.

Bill, by all means Welcome Aboard. It is good to have you re-connect. Unfortunately, we have lost a few of the early FMIG group, but a good contingent is still represented here.
We encourage the posting of pictures, schematics, track charts, timetables and more (including stories) on the relevant sub-forum threads that you will find here. The Search engine does a pretty good job of finding threads on specific subject matter.

If you have questions about use of the forum, there is a How-To section that may be helpful, but you can also ask by starting a Conversation with me or any of the moderators.

Welcome back, Bill. I definitely recognize your name from the early newsletters. I'm not too far away in Columbia. If you're ever in town, feel free to drop me a private message. Happy to help if you need an extra pair of hands for scanning. 8^)
