    Hi all,

Newly signed up to the site as I am getting more interested in modelling Frisco locomotives in N. Though this question is regarding a model I'm about to embark on, it's generic.

The 'Torpedo Tube' GP35's... does anyone have any overhead rear shots or diagrams that show the routing of the airlines? There is a couple of images taken from ground level that show the airline disappearing into the rear right end just above the numberboards but none higher up showing the left side.
Also, the positioning of the air tanks themselves either side of the dynamic brake fan. The fore/aft positioning is reasonably well documented with images, and the drawings on Michael Eby's site, but the side-to-side spacing isn't.

Thanks in advance for any information.

    Gary Rose.

Gary, be careful or I may tell Charlie on you...... LOL!!!:D:D:D:D

J/K- I wish I had the roof shots to send to you myself. I need to do one of these in HO sometime, using the Athearn GP35 model as a starting point.

There was an issue of Diesel Era that had an article on the Frisco GP35s. This included an HO scale drawing of a locomotive with the torpedo tubes.

I've also got an article of Model Railroader where someone built an HO scale CNW GP35 with torpedo tubes. The information apperas to be relevant to Frisco GP35s as well.

If you need the cover dates on the magazines these are in, I've got them, but I'll have to dig for them.

I've got all the materials I need to start this project in N-scale. Now I just need to find the time to do it.

I have a diagram I drew from and overhead view of a parked SLSF GP35 in Rolla many moons ago (or was it Springfield?), plus I also have a copy of the Diesel Era diagram - these two will give you all you need to know about the piping, etc, on the "Torpedo Tube" GP35's of our good Frisco Road.

Send me an e-mail off line.
